Who Owns 2Pac Music Now? [Solved]

Wow, Amaru Entertainment has been around since 1997! It’s crazy to think that Afeni Shakur founded it and then passed away from a heart attack in 2016. They’ve released 11 posthumous albums by 2Pac, plus the documentary Tupac: Resurrection. Talk about an impressive legacy!

  1. Catalog: Tupac Shakur owned the rights to his own music, including all of his albums and singles released during his lifetime.

  2. Publishing Rights: Tupac also owned the publishing rights to his music, which allowed him to collect royalties from any use of his songs in films, television shows, commercials, and other media outlets.

  3. Estate Rights: After Tupac’s death in 1996, the rights to his music were transferred to a trust set up by Afeni Shakur (Tupac’s mother) and managed by Amaru Entertainment Inc., which is responsible for licensing and managing all of Tupac’s music.

  4. Legacy: The legacy of Tupac’s music continues today with new releases from Amaru Entertainment Inc., as well as various tribute albums and compilations that feature unreleased material from the late rapper/actor/poet/activist.

I own a ton of 2Pac music! From his classic hits like “California Love” to his more recent releases, I’ve got it all. It’s great to be able to jam out to some of the best rap songs ever made. Plus, it’s always fun to show off my collection and get people hyped up about Tupac!
