Wow, Amaru Entertainment has been around since 1997! It’s crazy to think that Afeni Shakur founded it and then passed away from a heart attack in 2016. They’ve released 11 posthumous albums by 2Pac, plus the documentary Tupac: Resurrection. Talk about an impressive legacy!
Catalog: Tupac Shakur owned the rights to his own music, including all of his albums and singles released during his lifetime.
Publishing Rights: Tupac also owned the publishing rights to his music, which allowed him to collect royalties from any use of his songs in films, television shows, commercials, and other media outlets.
