Ugh, what a bummer! I just hit the worst golf shot ever. I mean, it was so bad that even my caddy was shaking his head. Talk about a major flop! Anyway, I guess it’s time to move on and try to make up for it with my next shot. Here goes nothing!

Yikes! The shank is the bane of every golfer’s existence. It’s a shot that goes dead right, and it’s so dreaded that it’s even worse than whiffing. So if you’re out on the course, do your best to avoid it!
Grip: The way you hold the club is essential to a good golf shot. Make sure your grip is comfortable and secure, with your hands slightly overlapping each other on the handle.
Stance: Your stance should be wide enough to provide stability, but not so wide that it restricts your swing motion. Keep your feet shoulder-width apart and point them slightly outward for balance.
Posture: Maintain an upright posture throughout the swing, with your head over the ball and shoulders square to the target line. This will help you keep control of the clubface during impact and ensure a consistent strike on the ball.
Backswing: Start by taking a smooth backswing, keeping your arms close to your body as you turn away from the target line and raise the clubhead up behind you in an arc shape until it reaches waist height or higher (depending on how far back you want to hit).
Downswing: As you start down towards impact, shift your weight onto your left side (for right-handed players) while keeping both arms extended in front of you as long as possible before releasing them through impact with a slight wrist cocking action for added power and accuracy
