And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come." In Mark (3: 28-29), we find similar words: “Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.” Finally, in Luke (12: 10), Jesus says “And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.”
So there you have it - three verses that make clear that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable sin. It’s pretty cut and dry.
