Too bad for tourists, ‘cause 10 Downing Street ain’t open to the public. Ain’t no way you can even get close to the residence, let alone stroll down Downing Street. But if you’re hopin’ to catch a glimpse of the PM comin’ or goin’, see if the gates are open.

  1. Start at the Prime Minister’s residence: Begin your walk down Downing Street at 10 Downing Street, the official residence of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

  2. Visit Number 11: Continue your walk to Number 11 Downing Street, which is home to the Chancellor of the Exchequer and is also known as ’the Treasury’.

  3. Explore Whitehall: As you continue walking down Downing Street, you will come across Whitehall, a major thoroughfare in central London that houses many government buildings and departments.
